Just a mere 45 minutes away is this....beautiful Shaver Lake. Yesterday we took a drive to take Trevor to the snow. He LOVED it. He went down the hill on the sled with Mommy and Daddy and smiled the whole way down. The only time he cried was when he fell over and face planted himself in the snow. We only got a few pictures before the camera battery died....thanks daddy!

Pimp My Ride!
We had such a special first Christmas with Trevor. He actually pulled on the wrapping paper and helped open his gifts. He was so cute this year! Trevor got to see both of his great-grandmas and his great grandpa. He also got to meet some of his realatives all the way from Georgia. Tis' the season for some riding. Here are a few pictures of our holiday!
I got to ride in my new Tonka truck that Uncle Matt bought me.I got to ride in my new wagon Grandma Diane and Grandpa Ron bought me.
And it's not put together yet, but I'll soon be riding in the bike trailer Grandma Teresa and Grandpa Jim bought me.
I loved the wrapping paper! Happy Holidays!
Viva Las Vegas!
My best friend since 3rd grade (yes, we've been friends for 22 years) came into town last weekend from Las Vegas. Trevor got to meet Cole for the first time. He is 3 months old and Ava is almost 3 years old. I LOVED seeing Sarah and we had a great time hanging out with our kids.
Sarah bought Cole and Trevor matching outfits. Sooo cute!
Trevor had to share his new wagon with Ava when we went for a walk. I think he enjoyed sharing it with her. Ava on the other hand didn't want Trevor in the wagon after he kept reaching over and stealing her toys right out of her hand.Sunday, December 14, 2008
Christmas Tree Farm
Today Brad and I decided to take Trevor out to Cobb's Christmas Tree Farm. It was a tradition our families used to uphold. Each year as kids, Brad and I would go out to Cobb's with our parents and find that special Christmas tree and cut it down ourselves. The free hot chocolate and petting zoo are fond memories. Although we enjoy our Costco-purchased fake tree in our house, I wanted a real wreath for my front door. We headed out in the chilly weather in hopes of a little entertainment for Trevor. To say the least, it just isn't the same as when we were kids. We didn't find any free hot chocolate, and there weren't any animals in the petting zoo? Perhaps it was too cold for them too. However, I don't think Trevor knew the difference. We did find a make-shift craft fair and the highlight of the day was the "fair-like" cinnamon roll we enjoyed! We took a few photos to remember our first trip to Cobb's...and the wreath is going to go on the door.Notice the empty petting zoo behind us! That is the back half of a plastic cow.
The delicious cinnamon roll!

Caught Ya!
Let me set the scene for you.....I'm getting Trevor ready to take a bath. I SIT him down in his crib and turn the mobile on. I walk away for 1 minute (60 seconds). When I return to his room I catch him in this position. He aparently thought it was funny because each time we sat him back in the crib, he pulled himself up to the standing position again and smiled.
Ummmm...Brad: time to lower the crib!

Da Boys!
Last weekend we went to "couples night" dinner with our friends. Dylan and Jackson are both about 1 1/2 years old. Trevor is about 10 months younger than both of them. All of our husbands played baseball together at Fresno State and we have been having "couples night" for the past few years. However, a year and a half ago it turned into "family night" when the boys were born. It went from Margaritas to Pampers.
They have to be friends since their parent are, right?

Merry Thanksgiving
Trevor survived his first Thanksgiving. We spent the day at both grandparents' houses. I, on the other hand, went a little crazy this Thanksgiving. Not cooking turkey or baking pumpkin pies, but trying to get the "perfect" Christmas card picture.
The setting: My parent's leaves in their front yard.
The photographer: Uncle Matt (he thinks he's a professional) :)
The outfits: All of us color cordinated in black and denim.
The outcome: Some pretty cute picts, if I do say so myself!
Here is a preview of the card to come... Merry Thanksgiving and Happy Christmas!
Seriously...don't you think they could rent this background out....so awesome!

Making a Good Impression
Our good friends, Kim and Brett, brought over dinner and their beautiful little girl last night. Hayden is 6 weeks old. She and Trevor are exactly 6 months apart. We tried to explain to Trevor that little girls don't like their hair pulled....

One Word.....EBAY
A few weeks ago, Trevor was playing with his friend's Tickle-Me-Cookie Monster toy. Trevor LOVED it. However, the toy is no longer available at Target since it is a year or so old. So, I got on Ebay and found one, and Daddy bought it for Trevor. (brand new, in the box, never before sucked, drooled, or chewed on....for a mere 20.00) It came in the mail yesterday and it is SO funny! Trevor loves it!

Ha-a-a-a-ppppy Ha-a-a-a-lloween
Trevor was a billygoat for Halloween. He especially loved the hair on his chinny-chin-chin. He pulled at it the entire 20 minutes he had his costume on. He went trick-or-treating with his buddy Cash around our neighborhood. Cash got the treats and Trevor tagged along.
Thanks to The Van Alen's for loaning Trevor such an adorable and unique costume!

Pumpkin Patch
Today was Riverview's School Carnival. I wasn't going to have Brad bring Trevor to the carnival because I had to work at a booth...that was until I saw THE CUTEST PUMPKIN PATCH EVER set up right in the middle of Riverview. Of course I picked out a shirt to match the pumpkins at lunch and Brad came to the carnival with Trevor just for this Kodak Moment. We also bought a pumpkin to set on our porch. Happy Halloween!

Friday Night Fun!
Posted by: Trevor
Last night my friend Hudson came over. Our mommies an daddies had pizza and I had sweet potatoes. Hudson and I had fun playing on the floor together and I showed him some of my new toys. We called eachother to coordinate our outfits! Hudson is 2 weeks older than me. I can't wait for the next time our parents hang out so I can see him again!

My First Football Game
Last weekend was the first Fresno State home football game. We attempted to go, however, Trevor and I only made it to the tailgates with Daddy and then we headed home before the game started. Trevor LOVED every minute of the action. We are quite the fans with our stroller matching our gear!
Even Grandma and Grandpa Green got a quick picture with the little guy!

This is Trevor's buddy Cash! Cash wouldn't look at the camera because he wanted to have a conversation with Trevor.

A Big Day at the Dinner Table
Today was a big day at the Harper dinner table. The time had come to feed Trevor his first taste of rice cereal. Not only did it go over well, but he acually tried to pull the bowl to him and couldn't get the food in his mouth fast enough. We'll be eating rice cereal again tomorrow night for dinner! Hopefully more goes in his mouth than on his face and bib like tonight! What's next....a steak dinner?

Thank You Grandmas.....

It's not supposed to happen like this!
I officially went back to work this week. I had it all planned out to be a smooth transition. I typed up a schedule for Trevor including approximate nap times and toys he likes to play with. I had my clothes all laid out for the entire week. Everything was good to go....then my poor child came down with his first official COLD. Of course it happened the night before I went back to school. Thank goodness that Grandma Diane has been taking care of him the last few days! I think after 4 days of saline, tylenol and nose sucking....he's getting better!
Seriously Cool!

New Toy for the Boy
I decided to purchase this Jumperoo last week. I debated about it because he already has an Exersaucer and I thought that they were pretty much the same idea. Boy was I wrong!
This Jumperoo was worth every penny. It looks so fun, I actually want to slide right into the plush froggy seat and jump around a little bit. I mean, think of the calories that would burn. Trevor already LOVES this thing. He hasn't quite grasped the idea of bouncing up and down on his legs, but he's licked, drooled, and sucked on all the toys. Such fun!
TKO...KNOCKOUT!
Has anyone ever changed a crib sheet and seriously thought about leaving the dirty sheet on the crib and never changing it again? This picture shows my battle with Trevor's crib sheet this afternoon. 30 minutes later and after breaking a solid sweat the sheet was actually back on the crib with the bumper in place.

Say Cheese
Basically I just think this is the CUTEST PICTURE EVER!
Those of you that have ever had a 4 month old know it is nearly impossible to capture a smile on their face by the time that the flash on the freakin' camera actually goes off. Here is how it works....
1. Sit child up on your lap.
2. Ohh and ahh at them until they smile.
3. Think "Shoot, the camera is over there in the office."
4. Jump up and run to the office hoping that your child is still in the smiling mood when you return with the camera.
5. By the time you get them to smile again, you press the button and they are not smiling in the picture.
6. Try it 7 or 8 more times until they are crying and you have given up on the smiling picture.
Happy Anniversary
Football Practice
As many of you know, I start back to school in a little over a week. Since none of your children will be in my class this year, I can honestly tell you I am less than excited about going back to work. This afternoon I had to go to my classroom to do some preparing for the little darlings to arrive and left Trevor to play with his daddy while I was gone. When I got home from my school, I discovered Trevor on the couch and Brad actually throwing a football (don't worry it was a soft one) to him on the couch and showing him how to catch it with his arms up. Brad is convinced that he is capable of putting his arms up and protecting his face from the ball. Me on the other hand, I witnessed the soft ball hit his face a few times and decided that football practice should be over. It was pretty darn cute, I must admit!
