Old Friends, Fun Times

The last weekend of my summer vacation was spent with old friends. Two of Brad's childhood friends are Brandon and Brett. The were called the "killer bee's" growing up on the same street. I also went to highschool with Brandon and Brett. In highschool I met my good friend, Kim. Kim and Brett got married and now have 3 cute kids. My college roommate, Kasey, married Brandon. They have a darling daughter. All of these people were in our wedding. And we were in all of theirs. So....there you have it. A fun summer night spent with some awesome people....and all 5 of our children make for a wild night!

Preschool is Awesome!

Trevor started preschool on Tuesday, August 16th (the date is more for me looking back at this blog and remembering when). He had the best time the first week. He asked us to take him early the second day so he could get there and play before school started. There wasn't a single tear. And he hasn't stopped talking about it since. Looking forward to a fantastic year of fun, learning, and friendship at Bluffview.Ready with his pottery barn backpack :)Walking in, holding hands with Madison (a little girls he's gone to daycare with for 2 years)

Santa Cruz Beach Trip 2011

We took Trevor to Santa Cruz again this year. But this year, we squeezed in a beach day too. It was Trevor's first "real" trip to the ocean where he actually knew what it was and was able to play in it for hours. He LOVED it. He chased the waves in and out, made friends with another little girl at the beach, ate a picnic lunch, and dug himself a "bathtub" in the sand. He had a blast!

After the beach, we headed to the hotel and Boardwalk. We played in the arcade, had dinner on the wharf, watched the sea otters, and went on the rides. It's all about making fun summertime memories!

Messy with Mommy

One fun part of being off all summer is PLAYING with Trevor. A few weeks ago we checked out the book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, from the library. (I still can't believe this isn't one of the 500 books Trevor owns) That will be on the Christmas list next year. Anyway, we made very hungry caterpillars today out of egg cartons, paint, and pipe cleaners. Trevor is in a stage of PAINTING, DRAWING, CUTTING, AND CREATING. (which I LOVE) so....here is our craft time mess with mommy today.
The finished product: One VERY hungry caterpillar

Admiring his work!A budding artist

Disneyland 2011

The happiest place on earth turned out to be the happiest place in the world for Trevor. He LOVED Disneyland this year. He took pictures with the characters (only the ones he selected of course) and rode the rides, and ate the icecream (after all, he is his father's son). Our 2011 trip to D-land and California Adventure was a success. This was bus ride number 1 from the hotel to Disneyland. He was still smiling like this after bus ride number 12!

All of us in front of California Adventure.

Papa, Nana, and Trevor with DonaldHappiest boy on earth..........

This was the Nemo submarine, Trevor and Papa's faces were glued to the port holes.

I think Pluto was his favorite. He hugged him, gave him knuckles and asked him where Goofy was.
This is how he rode Pirates of the Carribean. Never looked out of his hat. The minute we got off he exclaims, "I loved it!" Too funny! One tired little boy....a day full of fun and fireworks ended like this!

They did it!

Matt and Jessica tied the knot. Despite the rain, it was a beautiful day! Jessica looked stunning and everyone had a blast. Trevor did awesome walking down the aisle. He cracked up his whole way down because the flower girl was throwing down her flowers. It was hilarious! (Sidenote: I did not take a single picture of Matt and Jessica together, that's what happens when all 3 of us are in a wedding! I will post those when we get the real pictures)
